Priligy 30 mg

Priligy 30 mg film−coated tablet is the medicine used to treat premature ejaculation manifestations in men aged from 18 years. Each film−coated tablet contains dapoxetine hydrochloride equivalent to 30 mg dapoxetine.

Priligy is prescribed to patients who meet special diagnosing criteria for premature ejaculation status. They are the men who have an intravaginal ejaculatory latency time (IELT) of less than two minutes, have involuntary ejaculations with minimal stimulation soon after penetration or even without penetration.

Usually men with premature ejaculation experience certain kind of difficulty in sexual performance, can be prone to depression, stresses and low self-esteem.

Premature ejaculation can be life-long or obtained. The problem is considered medical and demanding serious treatment if the intercourse attempts end with failures over the period of half a year or more.

Priligy treatment is prescribed by a doctor who can adjust the proper dose and frequency of use. The medicine is available in two doses: 30 mg and 60 mg. For the majority of cases the initial treatment with Priligy 30 mg is suggested.

The medicine should not be used to postpone ejaculation in men who have no problems with controlling climaxing.

The main component in Priligy 30 mg is dapoxetine from the family of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). The main feature of dapoxetine is its short-acting time in the body. Unlike other antidepressant agents from the class of SSRI, dapoxetine acts in the body for a short period of time and thus does not produce any negative effects.

The mechanism of action of dapoxetine in the treatment of premature ejaculation is based on its ability to inhibit reuptake of serotonin. This potential of the medicine is closely connected with reflex of ejaculatory expulsion which is significantly inhibited and ejaculation is delayed.

The effectiveness of Priligy 30 mg was proven in several placebo−controlled clinical trials in many men with life-long and acquired premature ejaculation.

The results of the treatment with Priligy 30 mg and 60 mg demonstrated high effectiveness of the medicine against premature ejaculation. The medicine can delay ejaculation and double the time before climaxing. As with the dose of the medicine, the results were practically the same, still the dose of 30 mg demonstrated fewer side effects than the higher doses.

Dapoxetine 30 mg is rapidly absorbed with maximum plasma concentrations after 1-2 hours post taking. So, the medicine should be used orally approximately 60 minutes before planned sex.

Priligy 30 mg can be taken with or without food. Treatment with Priligy should not be initiated with the 60 mg dose. The incidence and severity of adverse events is higher with the 60 mg dose.

The initial dose of 30 mg is recommended for all men.

Priligy must not be taken more frequently than once every 24 hours.

Priligy 30 mg intake is possible with oral erectile dysfunction medications like Viagra or Cialis. The trials of the medicine have shown that dapoxetine does not interact with these drugs and alcohol as well.
