The suggested dosage of Priligy

Priligy is a brand name medicine used orally to treat the sexual condition called premature ejaculation which men can face at any period of their life. Premature ejaculation or PE is common among younger men, still mature men can also experience this “immature” problem. A person can crash into PE due to several reasons, but the symptom is always the same –early ejaculation or inability to control the ejaculation to complete the sexual act to the end (climax). For such men who cannot last longer in bed, Priligy was created. The generic name of this medicine is Dapoxetine. It is under supervision of the FDA and remains in the process of getting an approval status.

Though in many European countries, Dapoxetine was approved and is highly recommended for the treatment of the sexual disorder in men. The status of this medicine is not affirmed by the FDA because it belongs to the category of medicines called antidepressants particularly to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).

This Dapoxetine does not possess all the properties of SSRI medicines and cannot be used for the treatment of any mental disorders and depression. It acts too short in the body and this specific feature of the medicine allows it being used for the treatment of premature ejaculation. It happened so, that during clinical studies of Dapoxetine, the researchers noticed one sexual side effect produced by this medicine in the patient.

It was significant delay in time of ejaculation. Healthy males of course can consider it as a negative side effect, but for men who suffer from PE, this medicine can be very beneficial, helping to prolong the time of their sexual performance. Dapoxetine works selectively to inhibit the neural cells and the repulse which needs to be passed to the brain for the ejaculation to occur.

This repulse is passed through the sympathetic nervous system and is inhibited selectively and crucially by the medicine and the process of premature ejaculation is slowed. The recommended dosage of Priligy is 30mg and should be consumed not more than twice in a day. Alternatively, the dosage can be increased to 60 mg once a day. Priligy should be consumed 1-3 hours before the sexual activity.

Further increases of the dosage can be ineffective and only result in the occurrence of the side effects. It is always advised to consult a doctor before using Priligy. The safe use and following doctor’s special recommendations guarantee that Priligy will bring only positive results and you will obtain the best treatment. Otherwise, the medicine may produce side effects and undesirable reactions. Priligy is safe and has very few side effects, such as headache, dizziness, nausea and fatigue. Commonly these side effects do not continue long time.
